2023 Fun Run
The annual Fun Run is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for Benchley-Weinberger Elementary. There is still time to share this opportunity with friends and family to rally in support of our school!
We'll wrap the fundraiser with a fun event during school on November 29, where students can run, walk, move to celebrate our success! Take a peek at our individual and whole school prizes!

What to Expect
Our Fun Run is a day that our students look forward to every year! The day is full of excitement, every student gets a Fun Run T-Shirt, a medal for completing the race, and some tasty oranges from serveral of our kind produce vendors throughout San Diego.
Each race heat starts on the hour beginning at 8am (with the exception of UTK starting at 8:15am). The group is led through a short warm up by Coach D, and then students will be asked to do a "walking lap" to start off the race. Once the complete an entire lap, then can begin running.
We will have music and announcements made by our very own Mr. Dev, and each class will retire to the lunch tables for a drink and oranges to wrap the event before heading back to their classroom.
Families who are local are invited to come cheer on their students on campus! Give them a big wave, a smile, a cheer - anything to keep them going and seeing just how many laps they can complete.
If your student requires any accommodations during the event, please let the school office know as soon as possible.
